Well here we are. My last week until my official due date and hopefully my last bumpdate. I can't believe how fast the last few months have gone by. In the beginning it felt like time was going by so slow. I would impatiently wait for my doctors appointments every 4 weeks and it felt like October would never come. Yet here we are at the end of September and my life is about to change forever. It's hard to stay focused and motivated sometimes. I try really hard not to check out at work but when you are super uncomfortable all the time and preparing for a 12 week leave it's super difficult!
I know that most people typically go late with their first, and I am (kind of) prepared for that, but let's just pretend for a little bit that he will be here before then. The nurses at our hospital believe that rain storms bring babies and it's stormy today so let's hope those nurses are right because we are ready! Dakota and I have a little tradition every time we go grocery shopping to guess the final amount when we check out. Whoever wins gets to pick the place we go to get a little treat. It's a win win for both of us but it's really more fun for me because I typically win. In honor of that tradition last night Dakota and I took guesses on when we think Mattix will come and what we think his height and weight will be. So we will see who is closest to being correct!
Due date: October 6th
Weight: 6 lbs 11 oz
Height: 22 in
Due date: October 10th
Weight: 7 lbs 3 oz
Height: 19 in
For this last bumpdate I thought it would be fun to post one photo from every bumpdate to see the progression! Looking through them it's funny to see how I basically look the same until the last couple photos. You really grow the most your last couple months!
I thought it was ironic that my first bump photo is a mirror selfie and so is my last one haha. I'm just too lazy right now to get dressed up and take a picture but I'm sure I can convince myself (and my little sister) to take a couple. Also note my belly button in the last photo...Dakota likes to poke it all the time and it drives me crazy. Hopefully it goes back in after the baby comes! The last nine months have not been easy and I know the next nine months won't be either but this journey has truly been amazing and I can't wait for what's ahead.
I'm not sure how the next few weeks are going to look on this little blog of mine so make sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook to stay in touch!
